In 2021, I founded AgriLand Advisors, LLC, a farm and ranch appraisal firm based in Southern New Mexico, where I currently serve as Chief Executive Officer. The firm specializes in the valuation of agricultural real estate throughout New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona, providing appraisal services for farms, ranches, transitional land, and rural income-producing properties. In addition to real property, AgriLand Advisors also appraises agricultural personal property, including farm and ranch equipment, livestock chattels, and operational inventories when included within an appraisal assignment.
My educational background includes both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Agricultural Business and Agricultural Economics from New Mexico State University. In recognition of my professional qualifications and experience in rural valuation, I earned the Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers in 2010.
Prior to founding AgriLand Advisors, I spent more than 16 years in the Farm Credit System, serving in progressively senior roles including Staff Appraiser, Chief Appraiser, and Director of Collateral Risk. During this time, I conducted and supervised the valuation of a broad range of agricultural properties and specialty assets across the Southwest, as well as machinery and equipment used in farming, manufacturing, and agricultural processing operations.
In addition to my appraisal practice, I serve as an Adjunct Professor at New Mexico State University, where I teach Real Estate Appraisal and contribute to the education and development of future valuation professionals.
