The mission of The American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers Education Foundation is to empower scientific, educational and charitable giving to support the educational needs of rural property professionals.


Who We Are

The Education Foundation of the ASFMRA was established in 1984 to build an investment for the future of the appraisal, farm management and consulting industries.

What We Do

The Education Foundation supports projects and programs that ensure ASFMRA members provide the leadership that meets the changing needs of agriculture. This includes cooperation among groups, education, communication, leadership development, innovation, the increase of public awareness, knowledge of agriculture, and stewardship of resources.

This is achieved through the funding of projects and programs such as:

  • Development of Rural-Focused Courses in:
    • Appraisal
    • Management
    • Consulting
  • Investment in Technology Upgrades and Additions
  • Education Marketing and Communication
  • Promotion of ASFMRA Member Experts
  • ASFMRA Leadership Institute Funding                                                              
  • Society Public Relations Initiatives

Where You Come In

The Education Foundation provides supporters a unique vehicle to reach the leaders in agriculture.  Not only will your support will help to further the education of our professionals, it will provide you with the opportunity to obtain industry recognition and a reputable status among them.

Become an Education Foundation Advocate

ASFMRA members or affiliated friends and colleagues may become an ASFMRA Education Foundation Advocate by making a $500 or more annual contribution to the Education Foundation, or committing to a monthly contribution of $50. These Advocates will be recognized at ASFMRA National events, on the ASFMRA website, and in communications throughout the year regarding the Education Foundation.

The Education Foundation Legacy Committee’s goal is to create an endowment of sorts that will allow the Foundation to continue the pursuit of its mission into the foreseeable future. As opportunities resulting from changing technology and agriculture arise, we challenge our members to make a gift that reflects all of the benefits that ASFMRA education has provided to us for many years.
