Terry L. Kestner, ARA, RPRA, a native of Illinois, was raised on a family grain and livestock farm. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Business from Western Illinois University and MBA from Kaplan University.
Terry has been with Rabo AgriFinance, Inc. in Cedar Falls, IA since April 2007. He was promoted to Chief Appraiser in January, 2013. Prior to accepting the Chief Appraiser responsibilities, his duties primarily consisted of appraisal reviews in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Before joining RAF, he worked for Farm Credit in Macomb, IL. He worked as a loan officer for 5 years before making the change to the appraisal department in 1989. Terry has experience appraising agricultural, recreational, urban influence and large swine confinement properties. In addition, he taught the Rural Appraisal Course for the Agriculture Department of Western Illinois University for 7 years.
Terry joined the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers in 1989 and received his ARA designation in 1995 and RPRA designation in 2008. He currently is a member of the Iowa and Illinois Chapters. He served as the IA ASFMRA Chapter President for 2014/15. Currently he serves as District IV Vice President, past VP for Appraisal Education Committee, and a past member of the Appraisal Review Committee for ASFMRA.
