Jim McCandless specializes in agricultural real estate investment management for institutional investors. Jim was one of the six founders of AgriVest, the firms predecessor organization, in 1983. Prior to that, he spent four years as the Chief Investment Officer of an agricultural investment company in the Midwest.
From 1973 to 1979, Jim was an Agricultural Investment Officer with Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. He was a Commercial Agricultural Loan Officer with Bank of America in California from 1968 to 1973.
Jim is a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF).
