Kris Koolman has a diverse professional background, the result of over 20 years working in multiple industries, regions, and organizations. She has served as the president of a community service district, owned a successful professional organizing and speaking business, licensed as a financial advisor, volunteered with multiple community organizations, owned income property, and served on the financial oversight and parent committees for her childrens school. She grew up in Northern California, started her career in Southern California upon graduation from Cal Poly and resides in a wine region of the Central Coast. It is this extensive background which gives her the unique skills, perspective and advantage in the valuation of commercial real estate. She understands the position of the property owner, appreciates the requirements of the client, respects the integral impact of government and acknowledges the shifting economic influences present in the marketplace.
In 2012, she decided to combine her professional experience with her interests in real estate and agriculture by joining an established firm specializing in the valuation of Californias agricultural properties. While working toward acquiring her Certified General Appraisal License, she gained extensive experience and insight in the valuation of some of Californias most highly valued and complex agricultural properties. In 2015, she attained her Certified General Appraisal License. Since joining the appraisal industry she has completed several assignments throughout San Luis Obispo, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Tulare, Fresno, and Ventura Counties. Assignments have included irrigated row crop properties in the Salinas Valley, vineyards along the Central Coast, avocado orchards in Ventura, and citrus orchards in the Central Valley. In addition, she has gained experience in the valuation of special use facilities including; an agriculture research facility, wineries, custom crush facilities, greenhouses, and a Thoroughbred breeding facility. Kristin has also completed valuation work in Iowa, Kentucky, Ohio, and Oregon. She is a preferred appraiser for Farmer Mac and has also completed work for the United States Department of Agricultures (USDA) National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS).
