Tim Hansen, RPRA is the Director of the Appraisal and Valuation Services Office (AVSO), Department of the Interior (DOI) which provides valuation services for five DOI agencies - Bureau of Indian Affairs, US Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Bureau of Reclamation. These bureaus collectively manage over 500 million acres of land. Tims responsibilities within AVSO include providing leadership, strategic direction, and overall program management for real estate appraisal and valuation functions, including program policy and guidance for the Department. Tim previously served as Chair of The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council (TAFAC), and as the President of the Colorado Chapter of the ASFMRA.
Tim has a diverse work history that ranges from owning a truckstop/restaurant to being a forensic lab technician. He also served in the Army National Guard of Nebraska, Wyoming, and Colorado at various times for over 12 years.
Tim holds B.S. and M.P.A. degrees from the University of Wyoming
