Tim Hansen, RPRA, brings more than three decades of experience in complex real estate valuation, appraisal review, land policy, litigation support, and appraisal program leadership to Blue Ridge Valuation Services LLC. A Certified General Appraiser in Colorado and West Virginia, Tim previously served as Chief Appraiser and Director of the U.S. Department of the Interiors Appraisal and Valuation Services Office (AVSO), where he led a nationwide valuation program supporting land, resource, and Tribal trust management.
Known for his integrity, technical expertise, and collaborative approach, Tim has helped shape national appraisal policy, guided legislative and regulatory initiatives, and advanced modernization efforts such as a first-of-its-kind cloud-based appraisal management system. An accredited member of both the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (RPRA) and the National Association of Appraisers (MNAA) as well as being a Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI), Tim provides trusted valuation insight and professional training to public agencies, conservation organizations, and private clients across the country.
