Bio

I am a certified general appraiser and provide valuation services of agricultural properties along the central coast of California. I focus on utilizing my personal experience and knowledge of agriculture, the latest technology available in the industry, and tried and tested valuation techniques from the leading agricultural valuation organization. I come from a production agriculture background as a sixth generation cattle rancher from the central coast of California where I assist my family in managing and operating our cattle ranch and vineyard. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a bachelors degree in Agricultural Business and a concentration in finance and appraisal. My senior project entailed the planning and development of a 48- acre Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard on my familys property which I help manage today. Immediately after college, I began my appraisal career as trainee with two of the most respected appraisal firms on the central coast, Schenberger Taylor, McCormick and Jecker, (STMJ) Inc., and Central Coast AgAppraisal, gaining a wide variety of experience in agricultural valuation including the valuation of Conservation Easements. I pride myself in utilizing current technology to assist in solving valuation problems as well as increasing appraisal turnover times. I offer a unique skill set by specializing in the use of Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping software, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), a smart sales database, and Microsoft office tools for use in appraisal and consulting work. As an associate member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), I adhere to strict ethics and education standards required by membership and am part of a community of other agricultural professionals throughout the United States. I am currently working toward obtaining my Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) designation with the ASFMRA and utilize the best valuation practices emphasized by the organization.
