Trace is an Iowa State University graduate with a B.S. in Agronomy. Previously holding an A.A.S. in Agricultural Business from the Kirkwood Community College.
During his academic studies at Iowa State University, he was activity involved in several organizations across campus including the Iowa Corn Growers Association Club, Soil and Water Conservation Club and was a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) and the Soil and Water Conservation Society. He currently is a member for the Iowa Corn Growers Association and Iowa Pheasants Forever. Trace also participated in the Iowa State Change-Maker Academy to influence the future of Agriculture alongside peers outside of his academic studies.
Trace has career experience in public service for the United State Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) as a Soil Conservationist in both Northeastern and Southeastern Iowa. He also held positions as a Biological Research Aide, Commercial Applicator and Internships in Agronomy Sales.
Trace grew up in rural Edgewood, Iowa working for his grandfather's logging company at a young age, and as local farmhand for both dairy and beef operations learning valuable skills where he established his passion for agriculture. He enjoys the great outdoors and serving for his local community and church.
