Trace has a B.S. in Agronomy from the Iowa State University alongside an A.A.S. degree in Agricultural Business from the Kirkwood Community College.
He professionally manages, sells, and acquires farm properties in Iowa and is pursuing his Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) designation with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.
Trace grew up near Edgewood, Iowa where he established his passion for agriculture after working for his grandfather's logging company at a young age. He also worked on many different beef, dairy, and grain production farms where he learned valuable lifelong skills.
Prior to joining Hertz, Trace established a career experience working as a Soil Conservationist for the USDA-NRCS in both Northeastern and Southeastern Iowa. He has also held positions as a Biological Research Aide at the Iowa State University, Agronomy Sales Apprenticeship for Growmark Inc., and a Commercial Applicator for Linn Co-Op Oil Company.
In his free time, Trace enjoys the great outdoors, being a member of the Iowa Pheasants Forever, serving for his community and church.
