I work as a farm manager and real estate broker for Farmers National Company, managing farms in Michigan, Northern Indiana and Northern Ohio. I am a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics, and an MBA in Leadership and Marketing from Baker College. I grew up in Carroll County, Indiana working on my uncles row crop and feeder pig farm from grade school through college. I have experience post college managing a grain terminal operation, seed sales, dry bean and food grade soybean sales and marketing, and also have experience working in health care sales and marketing as a pharmaceutical and surgical devise sales rep.
I am married for the past 30 years to Holly who works as a registered nurse for a surgery center. We have four incredible sons, all who are either in college or out on their own. Two of the boys serve in the U.S. military via the Army and Coast Guard. We live on a small hobby farm in Flushing, Michigan where we have at times raised chickens, pigs and miniature Herefords, as well as our three dogs, two miniature dachshunds, and recently added a golden retriever puppy. We all enjoy camping, the family cottage, riding motorcycles, quads, boating, and now our electric bicycles which we ride for exercise, even though my doctor says they are cheater bikes. We have fun riding the rail trails all around the state.
