The ASFMRA has postponed its appraiser education courses in Denver through May 2020. It still plans on hosting the 2020 Education Week in Des Moines, Iowa this July, as well as the 2020 Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, this November. However, the ASFMRA will continue to monitor the situation including the guidelines of local and federal governments, and will update its registrants and membership accordingly.

Additionally, several Chapters have postponed or cancelled their spring meetings that were set to take place in the spring. To learn more about your Chapter's plans for meetings in the coming months, you may contact your Chapter's leadership directly.

The ASFMRA has moved its deadline for Continuing Education hour requirements from September 30 to December 31 for those who are due in 2020. As a reminder, ASFMRA Accredited and Professional members are required to log 60 hours of CE with the Society every three years. If you are unsure whether you are due to report your Continuing Education with the ASFMRA in 2020, email us today.

The ASFMRA is working on providing its members with ways to obtain ASFMRA Continuing Education throughout the year and even throughout restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Webinars on farm management and rural appraisal topics will be released approximately twice per month beginning in April, and can be found on the ASFMRA's Education Calendar.

Additionally, the ASFMRA is currently still planning on hosting its 2020 Education Week in Des Moines, Iowa, this July, which will include both qualifying and continuing education for managers, consultants and appraisers.

Finally, the ASFMRA will hold its 2020 Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, this November. The Society's largest event of the year includes General Session and Appraiser/Manager breakout sessions that will provide members with a prime opportunity to network with friends while collecting required Continuing Education hours. Registration for this event will be opened later this summer.
