Scholarships

Many ASFMRA Chapters offer scholarships to current college students as well as professionals pursuing core education credits. Below you will find a list of current scholarship opportunities and their requirements. 

Scholarships For College Students

Minnesota Chapter
One $1000 scholarship is available for a student majoring in an agriculture, real estate or management related field. Click Here for eligibility requirements and additional preferences.

Ohio Chapter
The Ohio Chapter provides a $1,500 scholarship to an Ag student at The Ohio State University.  Application is made through the university.  Please contact Tim Harpster for more information. 

Oklahoma Chapter
The Oklahoma Chapter Scholarship is administered through Oklahoma State University's Ag Economics Department. Students apply through the OSU Scholarship Foundation and is awarded at the annual Ag Econ Banquet in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Please contact Connie Burk for more information.

Ontario Chapter
The Ontario Chapter provides one $1,000 scholarship annually for a student attending the University of Guelph at Guelph, Ontario. Students may apply directly through the University.

Oregon Chapter
The Oregon Chapter provides scholarships through Oregon State University. Students may apply directly through the University.  Please contact Tjodie Richardson for more information. 

South Dakota Chapter

One $1000 scholarship is available for an upper level undergraduate student currently enrolled in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences at South Dakota State University.  Please contact Keith Newman for more information.

Washington Chapter

One $1000 scholarship is available for current sophomores and juniors majoring in an agricultural field.  Preference will be given to students attending school in the Pacific Northwest.  Please contact Lexi Moore for more information.

The Wyoming Chapter provides scholarship funds annually for a student attending the University of Wyoming. Students may apply directly through the University.


Scholarships For Core Education

California Chapter

Colorado Chapter
This scholarship is intended for appraiser trainees currently working toward their state certified general license. The funds will pay for Annual National ASFMRA Associate Membership dues ($570 value). Membership provides a discount on classes taken with the ASFMRA as well as numerous other networking and career building opportunities. Please contact Shiloh Wittler for more information.

Mid-South Chapter
The Chapter has designated funds to assist anyone working towards an accreditation.  Any ASFMRA course that is necessary to obtain an accreditation including qualifying courses can be approved.  Additionally, if you currently hold an accreditation, these funds are available for you to work on another accreditation such as an ARA who would like to obtain the RPRA or and AFM/ARA who would like to obtain the AAC.

We have $5,000 allocated to this program.  Last year we paid the course cost for 4 members and still had funds.  Please fill out the attached form and return prior to taking a course.  The current scholarship committee is Drew Vance, Dustin Cowell, and Jeffrey Hignight.

Scholarships For Events

Texas Chapter

The Texas Chapter will pay the registration fee for one member to attend Leadership Institute.  The individual must be a members of ASFMRA's Texas Chapter.  Interested individuals should contact Carmen for more information.
