Managing California’s Water: Policy, Markets and Systems This 2-hour seminar, presented by the California Chapter, ASFMRA, will consist of a moderated panel of experts providing practical knowledge on water in California. Specific topics include details of the physical infrastructure used to move water throughout the state, legal and regulatory requirements which must be met to move water from one location to another, and economic insights on the market valuation of agricultural water. With a focus primarily on surface water, the seminar will provide the landowner, land manager, or agricultural consultant with a basic understanding of what is involved in transferring water from one part of the state to another. From Rice fields in Colusa to Almond orchards in Mendota, participants will benefit from a greater understanding of the limitations and potential of California water markets.Zoom Link: A Zoom link will be sent to registrants prior to the livestream seminar.
