The Nebraska Chapter was chartered in 1962 to empower rural property professionals by providing education and promoting ethical and professional standards. The Chapter promotes the professions of farm management, agricultural consulting, and rural appraisal by holding meetings for the exchange of ideas, conducting education, and holding its members to a Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Practice. 
The Chapter hosts up to two educational meetings each year. Our annual meeting is in February and we hold a summer education meeting every other year in July. The Nebraska Chapter Summer Education Meeting is held in the years that National Summer Education is not in Omaha. The Chapter emphasizes providing education for its members to meet professional designation requirements and provides presentations by informed people on topics of concern to members. Tours are typical for their summer meeting. The Chapter is also active in their community and offers scholarships to University of Nebraska – Lincoln students who have an interest in rural property management and appraisal. The Nebraska Chapter annually supports a Farm Manager and an Appraiser who wishes to attend the Leadership Institute in Washington D.C. In addition, they recognize members with their Service to the Chapter award each year.
