My name is Andrew Weidner and I am a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the state of Illinois. Based in Sycamore, IL for over 10 years, I have served the northeastern portion of Illinois as an appraiser.
With a specific focus on rural properties, I have experience in appraising a variety of farm properties such as: bare farm land (tillable land); recreational & pasture land; dairy facilities; hog finisher barns; grain drying / storage facilities; landscape / nursery stock farms; rural residential home sites.
Given the metropolitan influence of Chicagoland, I also have experience in appraising properties considered to be development which may have a future highest and best use or interim farmland use.
Although employed and part of the Compeer Financial Appraisal Department, my independent work outside of the company serves a highly diverse client base. Over my tenure, I have worked alongside external clients to help solve appraisal problems such as estate planning, establishing a cost basis, aiding in a selling and /or purchasing decision, determining collateral value for mortgage lending, property tax assessment appeals, and many others.
