Jim Farrell was named President of Farrell Growth Group (FGG) in January 2020, an agribusiness consulting firm founded in 1997. FGG works with only the very best companies in the segments of agribusiness they serve. Services include general agricultural consulting, an extensive financial benchmarking service to Ag Retailers and Business Brokerage with complete Mergers and Acquisitions services. FGG also facilitates two peer to peer groups of top ag retailers in the U. S. and Canada. Jim retired in December of 2019 after 15 years as President and CEO of Farmers National Company, the Nations largest landowner services company with over $9.2 billion of assets under management. Mr. Farrell was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas Citys head office Board of Directors in 2015 and reappointed for a second term in 2018 and currently is Chairman of the Board through 2020. He previously served as chair of the Omaha Federal Reserve Branch Bank Board of Directors. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Nebraska LEAD (Nebraska Agricultural Leadership Council) Program for 6 years, ending in 2019. Professional affiliations include membership in the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), where Jim has earned the Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) designation, served as chairman of the organizations National Meeting Committee and the National Public Relations Committee. He is also a past president of the Nebraska Chapter of the ASFMRA, and a current member of the Editorial Board of AgriMarketing Magazine and the Advisory Board of Farm Journals Scoop publication. He is also a member of the Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society of Agriculture, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce Agricultural Committee, the National Association of Farm Broadcasters and the National Agri-Marketing Association. He is a past president of the Downtown Omaha Kiwanis Club. He is also a member of the Leadership Omaha Alumni Association. Mr. Farrell holds a bachelors degree from Iowa State University and is an Accredited Farm Manager (retired) through the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.
