Paul is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser licensed in South Dakota. Paul is currently the SD ASFMRA Chapter Secretary, ASFMRA Education Foundation board member, and ASFMRA Membership Committee member.
Paul finished his 42-year career with Farm Credit at the end of 2017. In January 2018, he began appraising as PTR Appraisals as an independent contractor, currently with Forseti Appraisals. He has completed over 2,970 appraisals from November 1987 through December 2022. These were mostly agricultural grain / livestock properties but also included highly improved / specialized livestock facilities, irrigated farms, residential acreages, and ranches.
Paul specialized in appraising dairy facilities for Farm Credit Services of America from January 2000 to April 2013. From January 2000 thru December 2013, he completed 90 dairy facility appraisals in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin and reviewed 39 appraisals of larger dairy facilities.
