The Nuts and Bolts of California's Water Supply System, Water Quality Regulations and Laws Impacting Agricultural Land Owners

Water, Water Everywhere: State and Federal Water Quality Laws and How They Impact Landowners; Endangered Species Act Updates
- The morning session will provide updates on state and federal water quality laws impacting agricultural landowners, including irrigated lands regulatory programs, drinking water issues, the 2015 WOTUS Rule, which is currently in effect in California, the current administration’s process to revise the 2015 WOTUS Rule, and the State Water Resources Control Board’s State Wetland Definition and Procedures for Discharges of Dredged or Fill Materials to Waters of the State. Updates will also be provided on the Endangered Species Act and its implementation in California.

California Water Primer: The Fundamentals - The afternoon session is a 3-hour California water primer course covering a diverse range of water-related topics relevant to agricultural land appraisal and farm management, including historic background and physical features of California’s statewide water supply system, fundamentals of surface and groundwater rights, current regulatory issues and controversies, flood management, major new proposed water infrastructure elements, water-related general obligation bonds and water system financing generally.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations received more than 10 working days prior to the seminar will receive full refund, less a $35 administrative fee. Those received less than 10 working days prior will receive a full refund less $50. Fees are forfeited if registrant does not appear. Registrants may send someone to take their place, with notification to the California Chapter without penalty.
