Now we’re getting into the nitty-gritty part of the growing season. Wheat harvest has concluded. ASFMRA members across wheat country report on yields.Corn has pollinated, ears have developed, and we’re nearing the end of grain fill. Likewise for soybeans: pod development and seed fill is nearing the end of season. Have we had more or less disease and/or insect pressure on this year’s crop? What are yield prospects at this stage? As you report your own findings to your clients, you can now also draw upon the collective knowledge of your fellow society members as we approach harvest. We’ll also include a discussion on leasing for the upcoming year. What do you anticipate for lease changes or potential tenant turnover? Will you settle leasing now or what until later, perhaps after harvest?
