Speaker: Fred Hepler, AFM, AAC

Speaker Bio: Fred Hepler is the Director of Acquisitions for farmland investments at AgVictus Capital Mgmt which is based in Atlanta. He has over 40 years of experience in managing vertically integrated agricultural companies, representing public pension funds for farmland investments, managing large scale direct farming operations, representing private individuals, trusts & corporations for farm management/consulting, and brokering agricultural real estate sales. Hepler is also a former President of the American Society of Farm Management and Rural Appraisers.

 His diversified experience includes developing a direct farming operation for a private equity firm which included over 50,000 acres in six states, building & managing the largest beef confinement feedlot in the US in conjunction with managing the direct farming operation associated with the feedlot of 18K irrigated acres, and being an Executive Vice President at the Westchester Group, a global farm real estate sales, management, consulting firm which managed over $1.0 billion of agricultural assets for public pension funds and private investors. During his career he has sold, managed, or farmed in 38 different states which involved 44 different crops.  Fred brings an in-depth level of diversified experience in agriculture investment and operations thru out the United States.

 He was born and raised on a livestock grain farm in SW Iowa.  Fred holds an associate degree in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University and an MBA from Eastern Illinois University. He is an Accredited Farm Manager, Accredited Agricultural Consultant and an Accredited Land Consultant.
