The California Chapter, ASFMRA is proud to partner with the Almond Board of California for this dynamic two-hour educational webinar that will focus on the Almond industry in California. Presenters will include Almond Board President and CEO, Richard Waycott; Almond Board Chair, Kent Stenderup; and Land IQ Owner and Principal Soil & Agricultural Scientist, Dr. Joel Kimmelshue. The webinar will highlight the following topics and allow time for questions:
• Overview of the Almond Board of California
• Almond bearing and non-bearing acreage – USDA/NASS
• LandIQ remote sensing analytics – Almonds and California agriculture
• Impacts of Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA)
• Almond production estimates and actual
• Almond bearing acreage and production outlook
• Global almond shipments
• ABC Market Development – building demand ahead of supply
• Almond industry initiatives
• Almond farming continuous improvement and experimentation
