Speakers: Dr. Nicholas Paulson; Dr. Wendong Zhang

Speaker Bios:
Dr. Nick Paulson is an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the farmdoc extension project team, where his research and extension work focuses on finance, farm and risk management, and agricultural policy. Paulson received his PhD in Economics from Iowa State University, and grew up on a corn and soybean farm in southern MN.

Dr. Wendong Zhang is an assistant professor and extension economist in the Department of Economics and CARD at Iowa State University since August 2015. As a Chinese native, co-founded the ISU China Ag center jointly with Dr. Dermot Hayes in collaboration with Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

He also leads the annual Iowa Land Value Survey, and is the Academic Vice President of the ASFMRA Iowa Chapter.

Wendong received his Ph.D. in Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics from the Ohio State University in July 2015, and he also hold a BSc in Environmental Science from Fudan University in China.
