Carbon 101: Everything You Need to Know About Ag Carbon Credits | Webinar

In this webinar, Ryan Stockwell with Indigo Ag will provide an overview of soil carbon credits, from how they work and requirements of farm operators to answering key questions for farmers, landowners and land managers. Examples of questions addressed in this webinar:

  2. How do growers enroll and generate carbon credits?
  3. What is the role (or obligation) of landowners or farm managers in supporting farmers who participate in carbon credit markets?

    • Role of government?
    • Market spin offs or evolution?
  5. Impact of the carbon credit market on other facets of land ownership?

 

Speaker: Dr. Ryan Stockwell serves as Senior Manager for Grower Engagement at Indigo Ag where he provides product marketing, marketing strategy and content development, and engagement strategy and implementation. Previously, he served as the Director of Sustainable Agriculture for the National Wildlife Federation working on Federal Farm Bill legislation toward reducing policy barriers to regenerative farming practices. Ryan has a PhD in history from the University of Missouri, a Master’s in History from Miami University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Change and Development from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. In his spare time he farms near Medford, Wisconsin, using regenerative practices. He has served on the board for the Midwest Cover Crops Council and the North Central SARE Administrative Council.
