Midwest Soil Productivity Classes and Impacts on Appreciation Rates | Webinar

This webinar will cover preliminary research on established soil productivity classes such as Illinois ASFMRA Excellent, Good, and Average classes as well potential similar classifications in other Midwestern states. Additionally, appreciation rates across states by class will be discussed.

Speaker & Bio

Colson Tester - Investment Analyst

Colson serves as an Investment Analyst for AcreTrader. He grew up on his family’s cow-calf operation in central Arkansas before attending the University of Arkansas where he graduated with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Agricultural Economics. Prior to joining AcreTrader, Colson worked for an agricultural engineering firm and as an instructor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at the University of Arkansas. He holds series 63, 79, and 82 licenses with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He is also a PhD student in Environmental Dynamics at the University of Arkansas with a research focus on soil productivity and farmland values.
