When:  Jan 17, 2018 from 01:00 PM to 05:00 PM (PT)
Associated with  California Chapter of ASFMRA
Course Description: This new water seminar was developed by the California Farm Bureau Federation to address issues related SGMA (The Sustainable Groundwater Management Act) and SB88 (Emergency Regulation for the Measuring and Reporting on the Diversion of Water) Regulations. The SGMA presentation will go in depth into ‘how it happened’ and the ‘who, what, where and when’ of the Act. The Groundwater Sustainability Agency as well as the regulations associated with the Groundwater Sustainability Plan will be covered. Regulatory and Compliance Deadlines will be discussed as well as the key challenges being faced moving forward. During the second half of the seminar, SB88 will be explained and the timeline associated with the State Water Resources Control Board process. Measurement and reporting requirements will be discussed and the measurement method explained. Both topics in this seminar promise to provide excellent information on California’s agricultural water situation past, present and future. A Q&A session will be included so plan to bring your questions!
