Dorothy Bell has spent over thirty-two years in the real estate appraisal and mortgage lending business. Ms. Bell began her appraisal career with Farm Credit, worked as an independent fee appraiser with Correia-Xavier, Inc. of Fresno, California, served as the Vice President/Manager Ag Appraisal at Rabobank, N. A. from 2012 through 2016, and beginning in October 2021 Ms. Bell accepted the position as the Manager - Appraisal for Farmer Mac. Ms. Bell's appraisal experience has centered in both appraisal and appraisal review of complex agricultural properties throughout California and Nevada, with experience in irrigated field and row crop farms, permanent plantings, special use facilities, dairy and feedlots, and livestock ranches with federal grazing permits.
Ms. Bell holds the professional designation of Accredited Rural Appraiser, ARA, and is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, licensed by the State of California and by the State of Nevada. Ms. Bell completed undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada - Reno and earned an MBA from California State University Fresno.
Ms. Bell served as President of the California Chapter of the ASFMRA in 2012, Chapter Secretary-Treasurer from 2013 through 2015, and has served as the Audit Committee Chairperson from 2002 through 2009, and 2018 to the present.
