Kevin D. Shea is a Colorado native, Colorado Certified General Appraiser and owner of Shea Appraisal Company LLC in Arvada Colorado. He recently retired from Federal Service as Chief Appraiser at Western Area Power Authority, where he had appraisal, appraisal review and consultation responsibilities. WAPA covers all or portions of a 15 state region. He holds the professional designations of SR/WA and R/W-AC from the International Right of Way Association. SR/WA recognizes expertise in all phases of Right of Way and the R/W-AC is the only designation that recognizes appraisal expertise in the partial interest and Right of Way field. He has both appraisal and real estate sales and acquisition experience in the private and public sectors. Appraisal experience includes condemnation, conservation, public acquisition, estate valuations, federal land trades as well as appraisal and document review experience. Kevin is active in professional organizations and is past President of the local chapter of the International Right of Way Association, the 2010 Denver Chapter Professional of the year, the 2014 Region Professional of the Year and Chair of the Valuation Committee for the IRWA. He was a Board member for 10 years of both the Colorado Coalition of Land Trusts and the Jefferson Conservation District. Kevin is a long time candidate member of ASFMRA, having joined in the 1980's.
