Ron Alfred, SR/WA, R.W-AC, MAI, AI-GRS, MBA has over 35 years of real property valuation, asset management, and operations experience including Division Land Manager for three Fortune 20 energy companies directing oil and gas leasing activities, exploration and production partner relations and negotiations, and division orders with the United States Department of Interior Minerals Management Service in the Gulf of Mexico, California, Alaska, and East Coast, and private landowners throughout 22 states; Director of Business Development, Strategic Planning, Supply Attachment, and Rights-of-Way for Texas Eastern Transmission Company (now Enbridge) where he managed rights-of way, operational contracts, and new business ventures on over 22,000 miles of interstate natural gas pipelines stretching from Texas to Nova Scotia, Canada; and Director of Worldwide Risk Program Management for energy trading and financial risk management systems for SAS, Inc. In 2003 became the Appraisal Program Director for Chickasaw Nation Industries where he developed and directed the real estate appraisal program for the Department of Interior Office of Special Trustee for American Indians and Appraisal Services Directorate and managed the daily operational interfaces with nine Department of Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs Regional Offices. Since 2006, Ron has traveled throughout the State of New Mexico appraising all types of commercial and agriculture properties, water rights, special use properties, Conservation Easements, and mineral extraction operations. Ron has extensive Eminent Domain and Condemnation experience with clients including numerous pipeline, wind energy farms and HVTL transmission systems, water systems and pipelines, electric companies, federal and state highway departments, private attorneys, and numerous federal agencies. Ron has deep experience in litigation/testimony and has been designated as an Expert Witness in state and federal courts. As the only designated SR/WA, R/W-AC, MAI, AI-GRS review appraiser in the State of New Mexico, Ron has conducted appraisal reviews for major lending institutions, federal, state, and local government agencies, and attorneys. Ron served on the New Mexico Real Estate Appraisers Board for 7 years. He has BS Degrees (High Honors) in Animal Science and Petroleum Land Management and an MBA (Highest Honors) in Finance and Operations Management. Ron earned the designations of MAI and AI-GRS from The Appraisal Institute, the R/W-AC designation from the IRWA, and has completed extensive appraisal and appraisal review education from the ASFMRA. Ron is a CLIMB Certified Instructor for the International Right of Way Associations (IRWA) and teaches all Appraisal Curriculum courses including: Principles of Real Estate Appraisal, Easement Valuation, Reviewing Appraisals in Eminent Domain, USPAP and Yellow Book: A Guide to Understanding Their Relationship, The Valuation of Partial Acquisitions, and Problems In The Valuation of Partial Acquisitions.
