Becoming a member of ASFMRA is taking an important step in your business and career development. Members of the American Society of Farm managers and Rural Appraisers are recognized as the most trusted rural property professionals. They adhere to high standards of professionalism and a rigorous code of ethics.
A person who wants to become a member of ASFMRA can apply in one of the five categories: Associate, Affiliate, Academic, Student or Professional. View a list of the categories and pertinent dues.
Concurrent continuing membership in a Chapter serving a member’s geographical area is a requirement to become a member in the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (Students excluded). See a list of ASFMRA Chapters.
Download an application form and start the process to become a member of ASFMRA. This application form needs to include your work experience and three references, one of which must be a current ASFMRA member.
A $125 non-refundable application fee needs to accompany each application. Applications will not be processed without the appropriate National dues, Chapter dues, and application fee. The membership application process will take approximately four weeks.
Please return the completed to the ASFMRA National office with the total payment of the appropriate National dues, Chapter dues, and application fee. The completed form may be mailed, emailed or faxed along with the appropriate fees and supporting documents to: ASFMRA, 950 S. Membership is approved on an individual basis (that is, firms or government agencies cannot hold membership) and it may not be transferred. Once your application is received, it will be reviewed by the Chapter Membership Committee. After the committee recommends approval, your request for membership is reviewed by the Executive Council (the governing board). Read more about the ASFMRA Executive Council.
