Who We Are
The Education Foundation of the ASFMRA was established in 1984 to build an investment for the future of the appraisal, farm management and consulting industries. The Education Foundation continues to grow and increase the number of programs and projects it is able to support each year.
The Education Foundation supports projects and programs that ensure ASFMRA members provide the leadership that meets the changing needs of agriculture. This includes cooperation among groups, education, communication, leadership development, innovation, the increase of public awareness, knowledge of agriculture, and stewardship of resources.
Professional advancement, personal recognition, and public awareness of agricultural professionals is the focus of the Education Foundation. This is achieved through the funding of projects and programs such as:
- ASFMRA Leadership Institute
- Public Relations
- National Exhibit Display Booths
- Business Development Brochures
- Information Collection and Dissemination
- Agricultural Consulting Education Courses
- Farm Management Education Courses
- Rural Appraisal Education Courses
The Education Foundation provides supporters a unique vehicle to reach the leaders in agriculture. Obtain industry recognition and a reputable status among these professionals for you and your company by helping to support:

Program and Project Support
Projects and programs are supported through contributions from private donations, corporate support, and charitable fund-raisers including, but not limited to:
- Live and Silent Auctions
- Financial/In-Kind Contributions
- Golfing/Shooting Tournaments
Members, Chapters and Agri-Business Friends continue to give of their resources and time to support the Foundation. The Education Foundation appreciates the continued support and volunteer spirit that make the organization a success!

The Education Foundation Annual Live and Silent Auctions
The Live and Silent Auctions have become a highlight at the ASFMRA Annual Meeting and continue to be an entertaining avenue for members to donate to the Foundation.
- Donate an Item for the Live or Silent Auction
- Large or small, your donated item for the auction is a unique way to contribute to the Foundation! Artwork, trips, sports memorabilia, homemade items, collectors items, state specialty items are just a few of the goodies that end up on the auction block! Simply printout the Auction Item Donation Form, fill it out and fax it to the National office at (303) 758-0190.
- Buy an Item at the Auction
- It’s hard to resist the call of the Auctioneer and the excitement of the Live Auction! This is the perfect opportunity to purchase the family vacation, the lawn mower, the Terry Redlin print.....
- If the fast pace of the Live Auction isn’t your cup of tea - step right up and place your bid on your favorite item at the Silent Auction!
The Education Foundation Golf Tournament
The Golf Tournament has become an annual event enjoyed by sponsors and players alike. Contests and prizes make this anyone’s game! There are many ways to donate to the Foundation through this tournament:
- Play a round of golf
- Join in the comradery and fun as a player - you can set up your own foursome or we can arrange your team. The cost per player is $80 and includes green fees, golf cart, and lunch. There are also opportunities to sponsor individual players or foursomes.
- Hole Sponsorships and Contests
- There are 18 opportunities to sponsor a hole for the tournament. The Hole Sponsorship is $500 and includes signage at your hole and recognition in all publicity. Individuals, teams of individuals, chapters, and corporations can sponsor a hole. Hole contests and prizes make the tournament fun for all. Sponsors can have tee prizes or a contest (longest drive, closest to the pin, hole-in-one, etc.)
